Shiryou Woods On the immediate banks of the river, is a small patch of forest. Because of the southernly position, a few deciduous species also survive here. During the sunlight hours, this forest is a tranquil hunting ground, plenty in prey. Yet as day turns to night, the trees become a strange place. Most wolves of the area avoid these trees after dark and especially on the nights when there is no moon. They have nick-named the forest the "Spirit Woods" as rumors of hauntings have occured. They say that the spirits of wolves who cannot rest, wolves who's souls have not passed into the Spirit Realm, in other words, wolves who have drowned, roam these shadows, tugging at the living and causing discord. Some may want a messege to be taken, others want to drag the living into the realm of the dead.
